SDAO provides its members with a broad range of support services in the areas of research and technical assistance. Staff will do the research required to respond to a member inquiry and will, if appropriate, attempt to resolve the issue. Information developed in this process is retained and used for future reference.
Periodically, members need help in their efforts to interact with state agencies. In this situation, SDAO will gather information on the member’s behalf, identify the appropriate contact agency or staff person, and assist with the communication process. Also, to assist the state and other interested agencies and parties in contacting special districts within Oregon, SDAO maintains and distributes a directory of member special districts and their local contact persons.
For more information about areas of research and/or technical assistance, contact SDAO at 800-285-5461.

Website Accessibility Policy
Special Districts Association of Oregon is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Special Districts Association of Oregon
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
feedback and can often resolve issues in a timely manner if they arise.
If you need any special assistance or accommodations:
Special Districts Association of Oregon has designated a compliance officer for website disability-related accommodations.
The compliance officer has received training in website accessibility and updates the site in accordance with those best
practices. Contact our accessibility officer to report an issue.
Compliance Procedures and Reports
In addition to testing with users with a wide range of disabilities and coding our website to WCAG standards,
Special Districts Association of Oregon regularly scans its website to ensure ongoing compliance, and makes timely
changes to any inaccessible changes, if any are found.
