Annual Conference
IMPORTANT UPDATE
It is with great disappointment that we announce that the 2022 SDAO Annual Conference will now be held 100% virtually from February 10th-12th.
Due to the current situation concerning the rapid spread of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus, labor shortages, and other factors, we have determined that we are not able to safely host the in-person portion of our conference. This decision was not made lightly. We met several times to discuss various options and concluded that it would be best for our members, affiliates, speakers, and staff to hold the conference in a fully virtual format.
After two years since seeing everyone at our annual event, we were all very excited to get back together in person. At this time, we are hopeful that we will be able to meet again in person later this year and will be planning a one-day event with training opportunities, networking, our awards presentation, and entertainment.
In light of the inconvenience and disappointment we understand this causes, we will be offering the virtual conference at no charge to members. If you have already registered and paid (including those originally registered for the virtual portion), we will be issuing a full refund. However, we ask for your understanding on the logistics and time this will take to complete. If you do not receive your refund by February 15th, please contact SDAO Member Services at memberservices@sdao.com.
If you have booked a room at the Graduate Eugene or Even Hotel under one of our room blocks for the event, please know that we have asked them to cancel all rooms linked to our event. These cancellations will be made within the next week and without penalty to you. If you have booked a room at a different hotel, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary charges.

We have an incredible program for you including our keynote speaker Lou Radja, 20 breakout sessions, caucus meetings, our annual business meeting, and trivia. We appreciate your understanding as we came to this difficult decision. Though this is not ideal and not how we envisioned this event, we are grateful for the ability to still host the conference and deliver training and networking opportunities in a virtual format.
