Opportunity: Special District Position on the State Interoperability Executive Council 

SDAO invites applications from individuals with experience in emergency communication interoperability to fill an upcoming vacancy for the special district position on the Oregon State Interoperability Executive Council (SIEC). 

 

About the Council: The SIEC serves as the primary steering group for the Oregon Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan. Its mission is to achieve seamless communication across public agencies statewide. The council coordinates resources, develops policy and guideline recommendations, and identifies technology standards to facilitate coordinated emergency interoperable communications.

The ability for all emergency responders to communicate across jurisdictions is vital to public safety. This includes the full-data ecosystem of radio, broadband and data. The SIEC continues to provide leadership and solutions as we put Oregon on a path to a fully interoperable statewide communications system.
