The purpose of this program is to support local governments receiving federal infrastructure funds, directly or through state pass-through grant awards, in creating thriving communities and ensuring housing needs are addressed when designing and implementing infrastructure investments. FY 2024 Candidate Species Conservation Program 

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program supports conservation tasks for high-priority candidate species or other at-risk species across the United States, such that identified threats to the species may be reduced or eliminated. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State, local, and tribal governments, independent school districts, institutions of higher education, public housing authorities and Indian housing authorities, Native American tribal organizations, individuals, nonprofit organizations, forprofit organizations, and small businesses

FY 2024 Recovery Implementation Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support the implementation of priority recovery actions for federally endangered and threatened species. Click here for more information.

State, county, city, township, and special district governments, independent school districts, public, state-controlled, and private institutions of higher education, federally recognized and non-federally recognized Native American tribal governments, public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, nonprofit organizations, both with and without 501(c)(3) designation, and for-profit organizations, including small businesses

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $14 million

FY 2024 Recovery Challenge Fund

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to conserve endangered and threatened species and ecosystems upon which they depend, and to take appropriate steps to achieve the purposes of treaties and conventions set forth in the for Endangered Species Act (ESA). Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligibility for this program is unrestricted.

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $9 million

Department of Transportation

FY 2023-2026 Accelerated Innovation Deployment (AID) Demonstration Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to provide incentive funding for activities eligible for assistance in any phase of a highway transportation project between project planning and project delivery including planning, financing, operation, structures, materials, pavements, environment, and construction. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State departments of transportation (DOTs), federal land management agencies (FLMAs), and federally recognized tribal governments

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? Up to $10 million in FY 2023, and up to $12.5 million in each of FY 2024-2026; $47.5 million combined

National Endowment for the Humanities

FY 2024 Landmarks of American History and Culture 

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to enhance and strengthen humanities teaching by providing funds for a series of one week residential, virtual, and combined format workshops across the nation that enhance how K-12 educators, higher education faculty, and humanities professionals incorporate place-based approaches to humanities teaching and scholarship.
