Job Summary
Working independently and collaboratively with others, this position plays an integral role in executing CRPUD’s mission, philosophy, and commitment to providing safe, reliable power to our community and exceptional service to our internal and external customers. This position shares responsibility with other members of the executive team for establishing and encouraging a dynamic, high functioning, engaged work environment that fosters a safe and healthy work culture.
Provide visible and confident leadership of the Information Technology Department while ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective utilization of personnel, equipment, and contractors. Set and enforce high standards for performance, professionalism, integrity, and business ethics. Lead, inform, empower, and motivate CRPUD personnel to meet and exceed identified goals and objectives.
Direct all information technology activities and personnel in the development, acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of information technology business assets and resources. Oversee application system analysis, programming, information service operations, telecommunications, personal computer resources, and the acquisition of hardware and software designed to improve operation efficiency and efficacy. Ensure information technology systems meet the reliability and functionality needs of internal departments, business continuity objectives, and strategic innovation initiatives.

Education and Experience –
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field; 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in computer support/programming/operations, information resource management, or consulting in management information systems; and five or more years of successful supervisory or personnel management experience; or any combination of education, training, and on-the-job experience that provides an equivalent level of knowledge, skills, and training required to perform the job duties of this position effectively.
- Valid driver’s license. Other driving-related requirements may apply depending on the nature and scope of responsibilities associated with driving on behalf of CRPUD.
Preferred
- Public utility industry experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with Visual Studio .NET and C++, HTML, PL/SQL, JavaScript, and Visual Basic, combined with working knowledge of database structure and network and PC operating systems including the use of IT Best Practices, SQL, TCP/IP and routing, LAN hardware and technologies, network security, firewalls, and authentication systems.
Salary Range
$121,368 - $173,014 per year depending on qualifications
