We're seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Specialist. Essential Duties:

• Respond to a wide variety of inquiries from customers, the general public and other District staff and departments providing information and assistance by phone, in-person, or email
• Resolve customer complaints and provide account and billing assistance
• Process and reconcile daily credit card and cash payments
• Perform a variety of billing activities to ensure customer bills are sent accurately and on time.
• Maintain customer database to ensure account and billing information is up-to-date and accurate
• Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts to collect outstanding balances
• May support accounts receivables/payables, as assigned
• Perform a variety of general administrative functions

Minimum qualifications:

• HS diploma, GED, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position.
• Additionally, you are an active listener, naturally inclusive and compassionate with diverse populations.
• At least 1 year of experience providing customer service to the public and using customer account or billing software in a similar environment.
