Background
On March 6, 2023, FEMA published a Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an EIS. FEMA is soliciting public comments on potential issues, concerns, and reasonable alternatives that FEMA should consider in an EIS for the National Flood Insurance Program – Endangered Species Act Integration in Oregon Plan. Public comments can be submitted from March 6, 2023, through May 5, 2023. The written comments may be provided via the Federal eRulemaking Portal.
Information about the Oregon Biological Opinion, public process, public meetings, supporting documentation, and how to submit comments is shared on the project website. The attached brochure provides information about the project.
Conference captioning through Fed Relay and ASL will be present at the meeting. Send an e-mail to FEMA-R10-ESAcomments@fema.dhs.gov by April 7 if you require additional accommodations. Last minute requests will be accepted but may not be possible to fill.
