Remote Access Required for All Public Meetings – Beginning January 1, 2022

During the 2021 session, the Oregon Legislature passed House Bill 2560 which requires governing bodies to make meetings accessible remotely and provide opportunity for members of the general public to remotely submit oral and written testimony to the extent reasonably possible. This requirement does not apply to executive sessions. Ways that districts can offer remote access to meetings include:

  • Telephone
  • Using video or other electronic or virtual means
