Located on the Oregon Coast, Pacific City Joint Water-Sanitary Authority (PCJWSA) is a publicly owned water and wastewater district located in Pacific City, Oregon. PCJWSA serves the unincorporated communities of Pacific City and Woods, a 2.7 square mile area. PCJWSA serves an approximate permanent population of 1,500, with summer seasonal peaks up to an estimated 7,500.

The Wastewater Operator III is generally expected to support the Authority Manager in all aspects of sanitary service provided within the Pacific City Joint Water-Sanitary Authority boundary and assists the Authority Manager in related operational, and technical management.

Minimum qualifications: Appropriate Undergraduate Degree, Associate’s Degree, and/or a high school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience directly relevant to the job.  Two years of experience working at a Grade III or higher wastewater treatment plant. Demonstrate some recent increasing supervisory responsibilities in the water and wastewater professions, including operations and administrative functions. Possession of the following certifications: Valid Oregon WWTP III  Certification. Valid Oregon WWC II Certification

A conditional post-offer/pre-employment drug screen (including Marijuana), medical examination, including doctor approval to use respirators, and background check are required. This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of $28.85-$38.46 Hr. DOE, DOQ + employee/family benefits subject to plan qualifications and requirements.
