OWEB seeks public comment on proposed administrative rules for the new Drinking Water Source Protection Grant Program 

The Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB) seeks public comment on proposed administrative rules for the new Drinking Water Source Protection Grant Program. See the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for the draft rule language. 
 

Overview  
HB 2010 (2023) established a Drinking Water Source Protection Grant Program to be administered by OWEB. The legislation requires OWEB to develop rules regarding the administration of the grant program.  

OWEB, with the assistance of a Rulemaking Advisory Committee (RAC), developed draft rules for the Drinking Water Source Protection Grant Program. Comment Period  
The public comment period for the proposed rule revisions will close at 5:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024. Written comments should be submitted through OWEB's online public comment form.  

  

Public Hearings  
While public comment is open, OWEB will hold a virtual public hearing to receive oral comments regarding the proposed rule revisions on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 10:00 am. The virtual public hearing may be accessed at:
