Description:

Oak Lodge Water Services District is currently searching for a District Engineer who is responsible for the overall administration and supervision of programs, activities, and functions related to Technical Services for all wastewater, drinking water, and watershed protection programs at the District.

The District Engineer is responsible for the direct supervision of the Technical Services team. This team consists of six staff members each having a unique and disparate scope of work. The District Engineer is responsible for working in collaboration with other teams to efficiently manage current and future capital improvements as well as capital assets. We are seeking a highly qualified, motivated, leader with unquestionable ethics and integrity.

The following is a list of required education and experience; the ideal candidate will possess no less than five years of experience in engineering planning, design, and construction oversight; engineering project management; or management of the operations and maintenance of a water distribution system, stormwater management program, wastewater collection system, medium-sized secondary wastewater treatment plant, or other similar facility. Candidates must have at least three years’ experience in direct supervision of staff. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil, or environmental engineering, environmental management, water/wastewater technology, or other allied field of study is required.

Candidates must be a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Oregon or have the ability to obtain registration in Oregon within 6 months of hire. Candidates may possess any combination of relevant education and experience that demonstrates their ability to perform the duties and responsibilities or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
