Using your video, editing, and photography skills, you will create media content for training and communications for both internal and external use.  Additionally, you will partner with internal and external customers to create a variety of other media needs.

Example of Duties


Areas of responsibilities include: 

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT: Manages full-cycle content development for media projects. 

VIDEOGRAPHY: Shoots, edits, and directs video productions. 

PHOTOGRAPHY AND GRAPHICS: Shoots images with DSLR or mirrorless cameras and edits photos using Adobe Creative Cloud. 

CONTENT EDITING: Edits media captured by both internal and external customers for the purposes of refinement and creation of effective communication products.

MEDIA STORAGE/DISTRIBUTION: Identifies storage format for created content and appropriate location for long-term storage and distribution.

FACILITIES/EQUIPMENT: Ensures maintenance and repair of a wide variety of AV equipment within the District, the media studio, and photography equipment.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.


Associate degree in media production or related field.


Three (3) years of experience in photojournalism or other digital media production work.


Position-Specific Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of media production techniques, practices, principles and methodology for the effective development and creation of media Productions.
  • Thorough knowledge of media distribution platforms and their policies.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use media editing applications. Knowledge of and ability to use Adobe Creative Suite highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use a wide variety of equipment needed for the creation of media productions, including video and still cameras, video switchers, nonlinear editors, audio boards, and both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Supplemental Information


The selection process will comprise of a review of minimum qualifications, submitted work, and an on-site panel interview which may include a skills demonstration.

The monthly salary range within a step system for this position is $5,386 - $7,285 per month. The starting pay assignment, based on a candidate's bona fide factor analysis in accordance with the District's pay equity system and the Oregon Equal Pay Act and will be in the range of $5,386 - $6,457 per month. The maximum of $7,285 can be attained after five years contingent on performance.

The location for this position is the Command and Business Operations Center, located in Tigard, OR.
