Drone Training - Pendleton

Drone Training - Pendleton
Join SDIS for this one day class covering all topics required to pass the FAA written test for FAA Remote Pilot Certification. The Remote Pilot certificate is required to act as Pilot in Command of a Small Unmanned Aircraft System (also known as a Drone), for any purpose other than as a hobby. No prior aviation knowledge is necessary. In this class you will receive everything you need to get started, including a study book, current aeronautical chart, airport facility directory, sample checklist, and a practice test with actual FAA exam questions. Attendees will be provided study materials two weeks prior to the class that will need to be reviewed prior to attending the class. Attendees will receive real world, practical tools that can be used for every flight including operational safely. You will leave the class ready to schedule and pass your FAA Part 107 license exam. Class size will be limited to 10 students which allows for a great atmosphere for small group work and opportunities for one on one conversations with a drone expert. Your instructor is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor with over 20 years of commercial aviation experience. Due to the limited class size each member can only send one attendee to one of these trainings. A waiting list will be developed for each class in the likely event that it fills up. Member’s wishing to be put on the waitlist must email riskmanagement@sdao.com. Registration will be closed 10 business days prior to the class and classes will be canceled at that time if we get less than five registrants. These classes are being offered at no cost to you! Registered attendees that are not able to make their scheduled training must provide a minimum of two-weeks’ notice of cancelation or their District will be charged $500 for the cost of materials and the trainer. Since there is a lot of interest for these classes we would appreciate as much notice as possible for cancelations to allow us to work with those on the waitlist to ensure the classes are filled up. Registration will be on a first come first served basis. Visit the event website to register today!
