A Supervisor's Role in Preventing Injuries
Studies indicate that a supervisor's response to a workplace injury may be the single most important influence on the quality and speed of the worker's recovery and the success or failure of the stay at work or return to work outcome. This training is designed to support districts in helping their injured workers stay at work, preforming regular or modified duties or return to safe and meaningful work as soon as possible; and understanding and controlling costs associated with workplace injuries and illnesses.
Facilities Care and Maintenance
The losses from fire, snow, frozen pipes, wind and flooding can all be prevented. We will discuss pre-loss inspections to help mitigate these losses and more. Attendees will learn simple ways to prevent property losses that will not break the bank.
Return to Work
In a workers' compensation program, the only way to save money is to bring the individual back to light-duty work. This session will focus on the importance of returning individuals to work quickly and will provide the tools available to assist you with this.
