FEMA has just announced Oregon has received an additional $55 million in funds to assist your district with natural hazard mitigation projects. These potential activities could be projects, planning, advanced assistance, or leveraging the 5% initiative around all manner of natural disasters. The Oregon Office of Emergency Management (OEM) has successfully been able to extend the help from FEMA and are currently working to provide additional services. With the unprecedented times of 2020, some local and state jurisdictions have expressed the desire to apply for potential HMGP funds but may not have the capacity or expertise for completing the sub-application.
Please join Risk Management Consultant for Public Safety Jason Jantzi for a brief 30-minute Q&A session about this grant program. He will be joined by OEM’s Stephen Richardson, Mitigation and Individual Assistance Section Manager, Anna Feigum, Deputy State Hazard Mitigation Officer, and Joseph Murry, Natural Hazards Planner.
