ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies of Oregon)

On January 24th, the American Council of Engineering Companies will be providing a training opportunity regarding Qualification Based Selection (QBS).  Click here to download the flyer and registration form.

QBS is a method by which public contracting agencies select architects, engineers, land surveyors and transportation planners based on their qualifications and experience rather than based on price.  During the 2011 session the Oregon State Legislature passed legislation HB 3316 which requires ALL public contracting agencies in the state to use QBS when selecting professional service contractors (architects, engineers, etc) for the public works projects.  This requirement became effective January 1, 2012.

This training will be a good opportunity for your public contracting professionals or managers to become more familiar with this process and answer any questions they may have.
